We as surfers will forever be indebted to George Greenough; George is the reason all surfers today use high-aspect ratio fins to execute radical turns and manoeuvres on waves that surfers back in the 1950’s and 60’s could only dream of.
Legends like Bob McTavish and Nat Young soon discarded their D-fins adopting George’s revolutionary fins. Nat then went on to victory in the world surfing championships with George’s fins powering him to the title.
