Technologies
Full Poplar Core Yes baseline core for tip to tail woodcore snowboard construction. Strikes a predictable balance between durability, consistent flex and light weight.
Glass BiaxShape True Twin / Radial Outline with Underbite Edges Withe success of last years Overbite Edges on the Hel we wanted to see what would happen when we take our own design theories and turn them inside out. The result was a small revolution in board shaping. By stepping in under the bindings it reduces (or disrupts) the surface area of the edge that has contact with snow (while the board is on edge) which in turn increases the edge pressure in the areas where you need it – from binding out, and through the center of the board where the carving arc is taking place.
The Hel is designed to be ridden more aggressively and benefits from the traction associated with bump-outs. The Basic and Emoticon benefit from more subtle re-distribution of your body weight onto areas that help you turn.
Directional twin shape Symetric shape for freestyle, directional flex for smooth turns at full speed. Bindings are slightly setback.
CamRock The CamRock will give you everything you need for your backcountry line. There is more rocker in the nose to add float and improved maneuverability, matched with a smaller amount of camber under foot to keep your snowboard responsive. A small amount of rocker in the tail will give you stability and maneuverability.
Sintered Spec. This is the term we use and is the grey zone many companies play in. We call it Sintered spec. because its hardness and chemical properties are very colse to true sintered and it’s on-snow performance is also very close to true sintered – but it’s formed using the extrusion process. How? – Well the raw material is actually pre-consumer recycled (meaning it never left the factory) sintered base material. So while the heating and extrusion process has softened it slightly, it’s still much harder than true extruded.
