This women’s version of the X-10 meets the expectations of sporty skiers who do not wish to invest in a carbon racing model. It is the last boot before the X-IUM range and focuses on comfort and more tolerance.  

What are the characteristics of the Rossignol X-10 Skate FW cross country ski boot?   

To understand this boot it is useful to make a small comparison with the X-8 FW model, if we look at it more closely, we realize that the cuff is a little more imposing, and this for a reason; more rigidity. With the X-10 FW we’re looking for more lateral support because we’re talking to more technical skiers who need more assurance when they put their foot down. The very enveloping frame is dedicated to the support of the heel, without this it is useless to think of being able to guide the ski correctly on hard snow. This is an essential point in the skating boot, and the couple formed by the collar and the frame must ensure both lateral stability and the blocking of the heel zone. With this in mind, Rossignol has equipped the X-10 with a stiffer Expert Skate sole, resulting in greater proximity between the boot and the ski at the end of the push and less energy loss than with a softer sole. For lacing, as with most models, the X-10 Skate FW is equipped with Speedlace Lock, a fast, wrap-around lacing system that provides an even fit around the foot. Finally, it is compatible with NNN, Prolink and Turnamic binding standards.
