The Baby Buggy was created to celebrate the arrival of Taj Burrow’s first child… Which we all know means he won’t be getting in the water quite as much as he would like for the time being. The Baby Buggy is something short and fun, but still in the “normal” board category.
To create this board, Matt Biolos started off with Taj’s much loved Beach Buggy surfboard, (a 5’9″) squished it down, shortened it, fattened it and filled in the rails and foil, and it came out as a 5’6 with half a litre extra volume. The rocker has also been relaxed so the bottom curve of the 5’6 nestles exactly into the curve of the original 5’9.
This board exemplifies domestication, with a strong twist of performance thrown in! Ride this board anywhere between 3″-1″ shorter than your typical beachy board, but add a touch more volume.
