Description

The Lib Tech Pickup Stick surfboard in the new Blue Tail Dip and in a new 8′ 0 length has arrived as the ‘mid length’ resurgence continues!
This beauty is built for amazing nose rides while still retaining a playful shortboard feel. A flat wide concave nose carries speed and glides through effortlessly long nose rides. Parallel rails through the body of the board give great trim speed, and the rounded pin tail with increased rocker compared to the other Pickup Sticks provides effortless turning, control and hold through high performance arcs off the tail. The bottom contour is part of what really makes this board magic, a forgiving catch free chine runs along the rails from in front of the fins all the way around the nose. A single concave to double V out of the tail adds planing speed and allows the board to easily transition from rail to rail.
This new Lib Tech Pickup Stick really could find a place in just about any surfers quiver from beginners just ditching the foamie, to someone who lives away from the coast and doesn’t get enough wave time, right up to experienced surfers who just want to make the most out of small weak conditions or compete with the pack in crowded line-ups.

Each of the Lib Tech surfboards is handcrafted in the USA with an unwavering focus on building THE toughest high performance surfboards in the world with a commitment to operating in an environmentally responsible manner.
The construction process uses a Nitrogen cell Foam (25-40% recycled content) core for maximum strength and pop. The foam is closed cell, completely waterproof and won’t absorb water. Handcrafted in ecoIMPACTO construction with our new BRR recycled PET rails.
Hexzylon Fibre Foam Skin, this is a smooth, strong, impact and ding resistant layer with the signature Hex pattern.
Next comes the unique Woven Basalt Fibre which is additive free super strong and resists heel dents.
The Bio-Matrix Resin is super strong and environmentally friendly with the best flex qualities of traditional PU and a longer lifespan than Epoxy.
Lib Tech surfboards are fitted with the lightest and toughest fin boxes on the market. They also use Sprock Blocks at the tail to add even more durability to the most fragile areas on the board. Even the leash plug has been given the same attention with 6061 T6 Aircraft aluminium pins and lightweight fibre composite cups.
