The Form Fruit Scoop should carry a government health warning as you’re likely to end up with a permanent grin after a session on this little pocket rocket.
The Fruit Scoop is Alan’s ultimate expression board, the stick he grabs when he wants to cut loose, bury some “drop ya wallet hacks” and take to the air.
It was a few years ago that Alan first designed the Fruit Scoop with his long term shaper Luke Hart. The general outline and fundamentals have remained and with a few tweaks this fast and loose shortboard with it’s “uncatchable” rails is ready to rock. Alan said, “It’s just the funnest board I can grab when I have my performance head on”.
The Fruit Scoop is a sensibly volumed and rockered board that would make a great first shortboard for someone jumping of a groveller or hybrid and is an ideal platform for an aspiring aerialist.
Form Surfboards is a collaboration involving 3 different parties. The guys here at Boardshop were super keen to offer a premium UK handmade surfboard brand with an emphasis on quality utilising premium quality materials. Alan ‘Stokesy’ Stokes (probably the most successful and well known surfer in the UK) working alongside genius British shaper Luke Hart (the man behind 4th surfboards) have teamed up to produce an incredible collection of surfboards with something for every level of surfer and any conditions.
This project is hugely exciting for all involved and we think the guys have absolutely nailed it, producing some of the coolest looking, well priced, UK hand-made and premium finish shortboards, hybrids and mid-lengths available today. Form Surfboards is an on-going project with fresh shapes to follow…watch this space.
