Description

The Form ADPT surfboard (pronounced adapt) at first glance appears to be a pretty regular small wave fish for high days and holidays, but on closer inspection you’ll see the radical fin arrangement which allows the ADPT to be ridden as a performance thruster or proper twinny!
This is the board Alan is most proud of in the Form collection. It just seems to work in anything from slop to chop and even works on good days. The unique 5-fin layout has a regular position for a thruster and a set of plugs positioned for a genuine set of twin fins. Familiarize yourself to the ADPT with a set of thrusters and when you’re ready to cut loose bung in some twin fins and experience the speed and flow.
Stokesy says “I always look for what’s the most I can get from a board in the waves I surf, so I’m not gonna surf a massive blocky twinny just to slide about and wish I had more hold. I want something that keeps that speed and harnesses it through turns. So a performance fish is the perfect template”.
The ADPT has a nice full outline with a pulled in swallow tail, fine tuned 60/40 rails and plenty of foam for an easy paddle. This magic little board can do it all from high performance surfing to fast and loose expression sessions when the conditions or your mood dictate.
Form Surfboards is a collaboration involving 3 different parties. Alan ‘Stokesy’ Stokes (probably the most successful and well known surfer in the UK) working alongside genius British shaper Luke Hart (the man behind 4th surfboards) have teamed up to produce an incredible collection of surfboards with something for every level of surfer and any conditions.
This project is hugely exciting for all involved and we think the guys have absolutely nailed it, producing some of the coolest looking, well priced, UK hand-made and premium finish shortboards, hybrids and mid-lengths available today.
