If you have to buy only onepair of crampons for all conditions, the Camp Ascent Auto & Semi-Automaticcan be a good choice thanks to their great versatility. Indeed, it is possible to use them in a step-in or hybrid configuration by replacing the toe bail by the included basket, but they can also be turned into strap-on crampons by replacing the heel bail with a specific heel piece (sold separately).  

Minimalist, they are lightweight while offering high performances. The Ascent’s structure remains stiff and the aggressive points allow a powerful and stable anchoring. They feature anti-balling plates to prevent ice from accumulating under foot. The Camp Auto & Semi-Automatic will not let you down.
