Description

The Channel Islands Weirdo Ripper surfboard by Al Merrick. Developed with Yadin Nicol to be that ‘go to’, small to medium, all rounder in your quiver. The Development process began with Yadin in the Channel Islands shaping bay getting weird on Al Merricks Pod design. The Weirdo Ripper is a user friendly design, high volume makes for easy paddling, the wide point forward helps with getting into the wave, and also helps the board skim over chop. The V through bottom of the gives really good drive for a board of this shape, square-winged swallow gives that fish like rail to rail surfing which makes this board a real performer that works well as a thruster or quad. Secret tip, surf it as a quad with a nubster, it flies. This board is the perfect compliment to a groveller in your quiver, it goes in a really wide range of waves but really excels in cleaner lined up waves.
