Petzl’s Angecarabiners offer an excellent weight-to-strength ratio, thanks to the specific profile they benefit from, as well as their H-shaped cross-section. If they offer real weight savings, it’s also because they’re designed in aluminum, hollowed out of any superfluous material.

The MonoFil Keylock finger on these carabiners makes them easy to open and close, which is particularly appreciated by second-hand climbers. Longer-lasting than traditional wiregate carabiners, the wiregate finger is protected laterally in the event of rubbing against the rock face. The surface in contact with the rope allows for better belaying and more cushioned falls.
